Pastor Dave Races to Become the “Faster Pastor”!

Reserve the the evening of August 21st for some great food and amazing racing action! We’re all meeting at Berlin Raceway for a “Tailgate Barbecue” at 5:00, and staying for the “Faster Pastor” race at 7pm, in which Pastor Dave will be competing! Keith Sawade and Kurt Zachmann’s names were drawn to race also. Be sure to sign up at the back table to reserve your tickets, and bring all your friends! When Pastor Dave wins the race, a portion of our ticket sales will be returned to our church! So let’s round up a huge cheering section and meet at Berlin Raceway on August 21!

August Softball Tournament

On Saturday, August 21, Word & Deed will be hosting our second annual softball tournament. We are encouraging church, family, young people or just friends to form a team and help us double last year’s proceeds. Contact Karen VanderSloot (karenvs@altelco.net or 616-895-4816) to register your team or volunteer. Make plans now to attend this fun event for the whole family which includes kid’s games and a reasonably priced lunch.
